| Larry Tucci is an artist who has spent a lifetime observing, recording and revering the natural world. He accepts commissions which focus on the nature and the outdoors. His long-term goal is to become well-recognized as a nature artist and to share with others the extraordinary beauty of life on earth. As a young outdoorsman Larry Tucci taught himself taxidermy when he was only eleven years old, as a way of preserving the memories of time in the field. This fascination with the outdoors eventually found expression in the drawings that came naturally to the young artist. Larry Tucci went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the renowned Center for Creative Studies, where he received scholarships for the accuracy of his work.
Since then, Larry's artwork has continued to develop and mature, with a growing list of awards and accomplishments to show for it. Recently, his painting of a peregrine falcon flying at Isle Royale was chosen from thousands of entries for the Arts for the Parks Top 100, a prestigious national exhibit sponsored by the National Park Service. In addition, several of Larry's fish paintings have won first place in national competition or state and regional trout & salmon stamps. His acclaimed work is now seen throughout the country in collections both public and private.
Larry Tucci lives with his wife Cathy and their young son Michael in lower Michigan, where the bountiful woods and waters provide inspiration for his art, and nourishment for his soul. He currently is working hard to expand his portfolio to include more of the birds, fish and animals that have been a part of his time in the outdoors.
